Publishers Description When you're faced with a tough decision, some people would tell you, 'Just do it!' The YouthWalk Devotional Bible gives you an alternative. If you don't want to live with bad decisions, ask yourself the simple question, 'What would Jesus do?' He always did the right thing, even though it wasn't always the easiest thing. Okay, but how do you answer this question in your life? What would Jesus do if his best friend tried to destroy his reputation? Or what if his folks were hassling him all the time? Or were getting divorced? Or one of his best friends just told him he was gay? Or he found out that his older sister was using drugs? Or his youth group was boring? Or his teacher was trashing his belief in creation? That's exactly what this Bible is for--to help you answer these and 250 other tough questions you struggle with. Each devotion starts with a real-life situation. Then the 'Look it Up' feature compares it to a situation in the Bible. The 'Think It Through' feature gets you looking at the situation from God's perspective. 'Work it Out' gives you a practical action you can take to help you do the right thing. Finally, 'Nail it Down,' directs you to a passage in the Bible that relates to your situation and helps you apply that passage to your life. It's a great process--one that's helping over 350,000 teens who already use the YouthWalk Devotional Bible. This Bible uses the New International Version (NIV), a translation that is accurate and easy to understand. The NIV is trusted by millions of people as the best translation of God's Word available in English. The YouthWalk Devotional Bible combines a year's worth of devotions with a bible you can rely on. It's the truth in your own words. |

| I love this book because it touches on all of the important issues that teens and everyone else faces from day to day. It helped me make a lot of important decisions and better understand the Bible and use it's teachings in everyday life. | | | | GREAT Bible For The Today's Young Adults-But A Few Drawbacks Feb 20, 2001 |
| I have always tried to read the bible whenever I was in motel like Motel 6 or Holiday Inn and could never get myself past the 1st page because of how boring it is. Now as a book, this translated version of the bible is in plain and simple English that is easy to understand and is done in a way to make each and every story "from the words of god" (provided you believe in that) an interesting short tory that I have loads of fun reading. As a guide to understanding the Christian religion better and its application to the real world, it does an excellent job how each story is related to the everyday things but the problem I have with it is that often they talk about an everyday application that is in one part of the book that is in another part of the book. Another problem I have with it is that it doesn't really quite well explain the short comings that Christianity has in front of modern science other than GOD said so, which is good for already devout Christian, but for recent converts like me, I want it to make sense. But still, this bible is worth every penny and it would make a great gift to a young adult who is confused about the meaning of Christianity. And thanks to the good people at Carmel Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina and Drew who gave me this book, things are truly clearer. | | | | Devotional for Outside, Not Inside Jul 7, 2000 |
| Depending on what you want from a devotional, this can be good or boring. If you want something to help you act well, I would recommend this as an AWESOME book for you. If you're going for the spiritual side, this is probably not what you're looking for. This focuses on acting like a Christian, and following God's action rules. There is a little bit of spiritual growth stuff in here, but not much. I wanted the spiritual stuff, and I wasn't satisfied with what I got out of it. | | | | This Bible will stimulate youth to read it. Jun 13, 1999 |
| This is a Bible that will stimulate youth to read it. It is relavent to today's issues and has many clear biblical answers to problems that haunt our youth. It will encourage youth to study and ask themselves where they are coming from in their personal Christian walk. As a youth leader the bible studies inside the Bible are fast paced, interesting and apply to today. The whole WWJD culture will grasp on to this Bible. | | | Write your own review about NIV Youthwalk Devotional Bible (Revised)-HC
