 | great way for teens to enjoy bible stories Mar 2, 2010 |
I gave this book to my son's friend, who does not enjoy reading, for his birthday. He ripped the gift wrap off and started reading it almost immediately. I heard that he finished it the same night. | | | | Manga Mutiny Review Sep 26, 2009 |
| I'm a big fan of the first two Christian Manga books in this series Manga Messiah and Manga Metamorphosis (both 5 stars!). This book though solid, wasn't quite as good as the previous two. I think the writers covered a lot of ground but maybe they covered too much. I think the strenght of the first two books was that they concentrated for the most part on a single protagonist (Jesus in Messiah, and Paul in Metamorphosis). Because of this we got a chance to really get intimate with the historical figures and as a result we were invested in what happened to them...more so than those in Mutiny. It's of course not the point to read these books as a regular comic book but as a tool for missionary work as well. The art and production value of course is once again top notch! I would love to see books on Job, Revelations, The Prophets and judges as well. I pray that more books in this series keep coming! | | | Write your own review about Manga Mutiny
