I'm pretty sure you have heard of the name Jezebel before, and most people known that the name Jezebel derived from the Bible. However, few people know the story about the women named Jezebel.
Jacquelin Thomas crafted a well written story about biblical character Jezebel that people can relate to. I'm pretty sure you know someone or heard about a women who is a Jezebel.

| Jezebel was a very good contemporary Christian story that parallels the story of Jezebel in the Bible. The main character in the book is Jessie Bell, a girl from a small town in Georgia. Jessie Bell is desperate to leave her small town and a visiting young minister is her way out. She marries the young minister and has dreams of him becoming a big minister of a mega church. Jessie Bell has big dreams and will stop at nothing to get what she wants no matter who she hurts or has to manipulate in the process. The book was entertaining, you never knew what Jessie Bell was going to do next and just when you thought she had learned her lesson, she would do something else. I like that this book was classified as Christian Fiction and it really was, many books say that they're Christian Fiction and they're full of sex, violence, and cussing. I could share this book with other Christian readers and not be embarrassed. I will definitely read more books by Jacquelin Thomas. | | | | Salvation Sep 22, 2009 |
Jessie Bell Holt's agenda at eighteen was simple, she wanted out of the small town of Mayville, Georgia. Luckily for her, fate was on the same path. Pastor Traynor Deveraux Jr. was sent to Mayville, Georgia, in place of his ill father to preach. Unable to fight the growing attraction, Traynor is counting this as a beautiful blessing. Jessie Bell considers this the opportunity of a lifetime.
With high expectations and plans to live an abundant and fulfilling life, Jessie Bell is disappointed when she discovers that while Traynor has a gift, he's not all that interested in treating the church like the booming business that it is. His ambitions fall just a little short for her sights. Fortunately, Jessie Bell is prepared to utilize her wiles, wit and sling a little mud to ensure her the luxuries that her heart desires. Will there be a change of heart for the conniving, deceitful woman who's stepped on many toes on her way up the ladder?
JEZEBEL is wickedly deceitful, cunning and resourceful. With GOD'S message clear and concise, readers are weaved into a drama that seemingly goes on and on. By the end, regardless of what you've done, how you've lived, if you're willing to repent, GOD is willing to forgive. I LOVED IT!

| Yes its about a minister and his wife. I have never been one to read books about religious drama but after reading this one I am hooked. Its an entertaining way to be reminded of what comes around goes around, even in the church. I always thought of a woman that just sleeps around when referring to a Jezebel..... but this book taught me an entire new meaning. | | | Write your own review about Jezebel
