An excellent read. Everyone should be paying attention to what this book exposes. It was very eye opening to what's really going on in the world. A must read for anyone who's tired of being duped.

This book, "Codex Magica" by bestselling author Texe Marrs shows us the true meanings of the coded mesages whereof the Illuminati don,t wont to let us know what they are saying to each other. Discover for example the mysterious sign whereby some one "thrust his hand in his bossom". In general, this mean figurely spoken that you've got to look to yourself first, before you can say something about some one else. But what is the original and true meaning of this secret signal? It is in reallity a hidden and secret mesage of a high Freemason towards another Freemason. It is the "Sign of the "Master of the Second Veil" or "Sign of the Hidden Hand of the Men of Jaubuhlun." When a Freemason met somebody who is completely unknown to him and he sees that man making this sign, he knows nevertheless: "He is one of ours, he belong to us." It is no coïncidence that during the celebration in commemoration of 50 years of the Treaty of Rome in the month of March 2007 in the Knights'Hall in The Hague, one of those who walked over the cat walk, during a masquerade before a important audience with among others, Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands, Premier Jan-Peter Balkenende and many other dignitarys, carried the head of the same bull! And there is much, much more to discover in "Codex Magica." Therefore, I highly recommend this important Encyclopedia of secret signs, handshakes, and signals to everybody who is interested in the twilight world of the Illuminati.
	Destructive and Dangerous Nonsense  May 26, 2008
Everything about this book is offensive to anyone with even a passing knowledge of history. Best classified as pseudo history, it is a complete misinterpretation of christianity, the bible, religion, fraternal organizations and the occult, espousing a point of view that perhaps can only be understood if seen through the narrowest lens of fundamentalist christianity. A lack of honest scholarship that would be laughable, if only the views contained within were not so often wielded by the christian right. That dark and ignorant nadir of destructive dominionist eschatological belief currently casting its long shadow over our beautiful earth of love and light.
	OUTSTANDING REFERENCE MATERIAL  May 14, 2008
This book has got to be one of the most PROLIFIC, thoroughly-researched reference books published of late. Not only does it provide outstanding graphics to support the thread of demonic-laced propaganda infiltrated throughout ALL mediums of communication, but the author does this with a manner as to not mislead, but unveil to the reader the final picture. Many anti-conspiracy theorists will argue that "fanatics" will link ANYTHING and everything to satanism. But the flip-side of that argument coin is to ask oneself, "Why ISN'T possible that the original creation of symbolism, mysticism and idolatry wasn't based in satanism in a MASS effort to "conceal, confound and ultimately conjoin" the masses to worship a more sinister concept? Is this NOT the same corruption that Our Lord God spoke of destroying throughout the Bible?

I debated giving this one or two stars. I chose two due to the sheer number of images included, many of which are of historical interest. My overall impression of the book is that the author looked up some modes of recognition (signs) used by freemasons and then went through thousands of pictures of famous people, choosing those that caught the person making a gesture vaguely resembling the sign. People who aren't freemasons or illuminati (the same thing according to this author) sometimes steeple their hands, shake hands, and hold a hand on their hip. This does not equal a sign. Masonic signs are not simple static postures, but involve very specific movements. It is always unclear from a still photo whether a person is making a sign. Anyone who knows about freemasonry knows that freemasons generally do not want to be photographed making masonic signs. Most freemasons would not make their signs so openly, or specifically to be photographed. There are oaths to keep such things sacred. The book also suffers from anti-masonic and anti-semitic bigotry. I'm sure that many learned religious scholors would take offense to the authors referral to Kabbalah as "Jewish black magic". The factual errors are also astonishing. I wasn't even born when the first moon landing occurred, and yet I know that Buzz Aldrin was not the first person on the moon (as the author states). While there may be some overlap between the historical Illuminati and the freemasons, the two are not the same. This suggestion comes mostly from far-right fundamentalist Christians who disagree with any organization involved with spiritual education that does not force it's members to accept Christ as personal savior. Freemasonry requires only a belief in God, while Illuminism essentially was anti-religious. The author (like so many other fundamentalist propagandists) try to tie Freemasonry and Illuminism to devil-worship. Again, the idea is that anything occult (hidden) is black-magic, anthing that is non-christian is devil worship. Some of the photos here might be of leaders who were signalling membership in a secret society. However, those pictures are lost in a sea of falsehood. Also, we don't necessarily know which secret society (there are many).
