| I have been alive in Christ for 3 years, and S D Gordon is an answer to my prayer asking God for realisation of the victory that Christ gives us. He sent me 8 books by S D Gordon, of which I have read Quiet Talks on the Tempter, and am finishing this book. Together they have revolutionised my prayer life. I am positive in fighting Satan in the lives of saved and unsaved people about me, and especially in my own life. For the first time I am fighting my besetting sin with confidence that Christ who has victory can have that victory in me. Yes, the sentences are longer than in modern books. But he uses plenty of sentence breakers like commas, and the end result is worth it. Christian teaching is divided (as the apostle Paul labels it) into milk and meat. This is definitely meat - rare steak, just as I love it. This book will help you to a new relationship with the Father who is seeking to recover his prodigal world.
