Item Description... Overview Full color, reproducible book on the The Tabernacle, with clear plastic overlays of the coverings of the "tent of meeting." The Tabernacle was the place where the Israelites worshiped God after the Exodus. Learn how the sacrifices, utensils, and even the structure of the tabernacle were designed to show us something about God. See the parallels between the Old Testament sacrifices and priests' duties, and Jesus' service as the perfect sacrifice and perfect high priest. See how: ? The Tabernacle was built and moved ? The sacrifices pointed Jesus Christ ? The design of the tent revealed God's holiness and humanity's need for God ? The Ark of the Covenant was at the center of worship.
Contains illustrations, charts, and diagrams not available elsewhere.
128 pages, full color with 8 clear plastic overlays showing inside/outside of the tabernacle; plus dozens of reproducible charts. You may reproduce up to 300 copies of any chart free of charge for your classroom.

 | Indepth and easily understood study guide Dec 21, 2009 |
| The tabernacle describes so well the love of our Savior for His people and this book helps build a solid foundation for further study. I have found all the Rose books very informative, detailed, and easy to use. Their actual construction - hard covers with hidden spiral binding makes them great to use on small tripods in my Sunday School/Bible Study class I purchased this, my second, Rose Guide to the Tabernacle as a gift to someone who enjoys studying God's Word. An added plus is the great price for an excellent book. | | | | Astonishing Visual of Narrow is the Way Oct 11, 2009 |
This amazing book by Rose Publishing brings to life the visual imagery given by God in Old Testament times of how difficult (impossible) it is for fallen man to approach Him in his pure holiness. Starting at the outside of the tabernacle, the materials (sea cow) are the coarsest and most common (signifying man) and all may enter in at the main gate (the gospel call given to all). As you progress through the Tabernacle and the sacrificial system, the materials get finer and finer, and the access becomes more and more limited ("For narrow is the gate, and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few." Matt 7:14). Until at the end, one man alone is granted access to the Holy of Holies, almost a solid gold room (signifying God's holiness and purity).
This book makes real the complete and utter inability of wretched, depraved, sin-loving man to reach God. Ah, but then come two of the most beautiful words in the Bible:
"But God...."
But God....makes a way for sinners to be made right with Him. No amount of religion and good works can do it...we must rely on - and place our faith in - HIS provision. In Old Testament times, it was through faith in the sacrificial system, with an understanding that this system was a shadow of something greater to come.
We live in New Testament times, under the new covenant, and we understand God's plan in its entirety...and we know his name is Jesus. Dimly glimpsed in types and shadows in the Old Testament, gloriously fulfilled and revealed in the New Testament as the FINAL Lamb of the sacrificial system (Hebrews 9).
But God....has made a Way.
"Since the days of John the Baptist, the kingdom of heaven has been advancing with force. And forceful people are taking hold of it.....He who has ears to hear, let him hear." (Matthew 11:12, 15)
This book is for you if you have struggled with understanding the Old Testament...but you have heard people say that all of the O.T. points to Christ, and you want to know how. This book is for you if you want to understand more about progressive revelation, and how God slowly, methodically and progressively revealed his magnificent plan of Salvation over centuries. | | | Write your own review about Rose Guide To The Tabernacle
