Item Description... Overview Offers a biblical view of money and possessions, including discussion of debt, investments, inheritance, materialism, and charity.
Publishers Description What does the Bible really say about money? This completely revised and updated version of the classic best-seller provides a Christian perspective about money and material possessions based on the author's painstaking study of the Bible. Randy Alcorn uses the Scriptures to approach this often touchy subject head-on. Thought-provoking arguments challenge readers to rethink their attitudes and use their God-given resources in ways that will have an eternal impact. Alcorn deals straightforwardly with issues of materialism, stewardship, prosperity theology, debt, and more. An excellent choice for group study as well as individual financial guidance. Includes a study guide and appendix with additional resources. |

 | book about tithing.... Mar 8, 2007 |
The first part of this book is good, but then gets into tithing as a place to start giving and goes on from there. The author doesn't understand that Israel was a theocratic society and the tithes were to fund Israel's government: the priests, etc. just like how our taxes today fund our government.
I think the first part of the book is useful in that it puts possessions and money in perspective for the Christian. | | | | Excellent and Comprehensive Jan 15, 2007 |
| This complete guide offers both practical financial advice for everyone and also guidelines for Christians. It is comprehensive and covers debt, investing, budgeting, giving, insurance, inheritance, etc... There were so many points that made me ponder the choices that we make every day. I plan to give this book as gifts to all of my family and friends. Their lives will be much happier if they read and apply the principles taught in this wonderful book. | | | | Good Guiding Light Jan 4, 2007 |
| For a person struggling to find their footing in handling money matters the Biblical way, this book is a good guiding light to begin with. | | | | Best book I've found on being God's manager (steward) Nov 5, 2006 |
| Randy Alcorn has captured the essence of what the bible says about our relationship with God, as his stewards (managers), in an easy to digest, often profound, book. This critical, often hard to understand topic, becomes clear an personal through his book. Thank you Randy! | | | | Financial information appeals to 20 something Christians Nov 4, 2006 |
This book was a gift. My newphew requested this book and I gladly purchase it.He's never been interested in knowing how to manage money and gaining financial freedom, he's 21. On becoming a Christian, he is more eager to learn new things. This book has given him the tools that he needed for financial freedom from his Mom & Dad's bank account. Since reading this book, he has opened a savings & checking account. He pays himself first and thinks if he really need an item or is it a want. I've seen growth in him. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs answers in gaining financial knowledge for themselves. | | | Write your own review about Money Possessions And Eternity
