Item Description... Overview The 324-page book written by Michael Pearl and illustrated by Danny Bulanadi, former of Marvel Comics (Incredible Hulk), resembles an oversized comic book. Good and Evil begins where God began, in the book of Genesis, with the Creator, the fall of man, the law, blood sacrifice, and the prophecies of the coming Redeemer, thus preparing the people to fully understand the gospel of Christ. Good and Evil captivates those who would not normally pick up a Bible. In addition to the color art, each page footnotes Scriptural passages for further Bible study. Young and old, teens, prisoners, military personnel, and Christian workers have testified to the incredible impact Good and Evil has made on their understanding of the Bible.
Publishers Description
The Ultimate Superhero Graphic Novel!! In the beginning... Before the first man was created, before the earth, the sun, the stars, even before light and time were created, there was God. He alone existed without beginning, but he was not alone. He communed with himself in harmonious love. But god wanted to share his life. He wanted friends and neighbors. The Bible tells us God created numerous kinds of angelic beings to offer praise around his throne. But this is not their story. This is the story of God working with mankind. You will not find the story of David and Goliath or Daniel in the Lions' den. It is impossible to cover the entire Bible in just 330 pages. But the stories are not arbitrarily chosen. This is a chronological presentation of the Bible message, providing just that Old Testament background that is pertinent to one's understanding of who Jehovah God is and of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Sacrifice, war, temptation, betrayal, hope, and redemption all a part of Bible is honestly and vividly presented in the popular graphic novel format (Watchmen, The Dark Knight). The critically acclaimed Good and Evil (Independent Publishers 2009 Bronze Medal Winner in the Graphic Novel/Drama category and 2009 Forward Book Award Finalist) truly is "the ultimate superhero" graphic novel and is making a huge impact worldwide. Written by author Michael Pearl (By Divine Design, Holy Sex, Eight Kingdoms) and illustrated by former Marvel Comics artist Danny Bulanadi (Fantastic Four, Incredible Hulk, Micronauts) Good & Evil is a truly unique Bible presntation. It is now being translated and distributed in dozens of languages, both in print and online, with dozens more translations in progress. |

 | FORGET TRACTS!! Nov 27, 2009 |
Just open the trash can and throw the tracts away. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, and folks, this is THE greatest tool to reach the lost! Even to keep your comic-book lover in the word, and they love it! My 18 yr old daughter, a believer, was immersed in Good and Evil, when she began to cry. I asked her what was going on, and she said that seeing what Jesus suffered for us, made a huge impact on her. My 12 yr old son loves to read it because he loves comic books. We have given boxes of these to different ministries around the country, and they are very well recieved. A tract is much cheaper, so is the message. Why not give them the WHOLE story? | | | | Fabulous addition to your Christian library! Oct 26, 2009 |
| I get excited everytime I read this book. It has been accurate so far and beautifully illustrated. I want to make a point though that no book should take the place of the actual Bible. However, I think it makes an excellent addition to one's Christian library. One other point this book may be a little graphic for young children. | | | | My only problem: who gets to read it first? Aug 5, 2009 |
| Everyone in my house, including my father who was visiting from out out of state, loved the book. Everyone is fighting over who gets to read it first! The illustrations are beautiful. A fun way to learn God's word. A comic book lover must have. But it is great for anyone. | | | | We Love this Book! Dec 22, 2008 |
We have been blessed so much by this book and have now purchased their new color version. This book doesn't change the word of God, it doesn't hide the ugly sins that are spoken of in the scriptures, it doesn't sweeten the stories, it doesn't change the many blessed truthes...it tells the story just as it was told so many years ago when our Bible was written. Our family just loves this book. My son (age 10) has really enjoyed it and has retained so much information because of this book.
We have been blessed by so many of the Pearl's materials and are glad to say that this one has been as much of a joy to read as the others.
