Mr. Ortega write / sings / plays great music!! If you ever get the chance to see him in concert, we highly recommend it - it's like sitting down in the living room with your best friend; it'll touch your heart and will be very good for your soul. He is definitely one's of God's blessings for this world!
A Good Christmas CD that could be better Dec 26, 2008
I am a HUGE Fernando Ortega fan who has found his music to be a tremendous blessing and ministry to my soul. When I heard he was preparing a Christmas CD I was psyched!! When I actually bought the cd and listened to it it was definitely typical Fernando. The instrumentation is simple but beautiful, and the CD is top quality. I was disappointed at the length; the 10 songs clock in at just over 39 minutes which, in this digital age seems very short!! 3 of the 10 songs are instrumentals, and 2 of the songs are re-recordings of "Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence" and "Jesus King of Angels", songs I have loved but that I've not thought of as being particularly "incarnation-centered."
This is a very good CD that will be a blessing to you, but it could have been so much more!!! Hopefully he will do another Christmas CD later in his career.
