| I gave my other New Testament away which I used to carry with me. This one is much lighter in my work bag. There is Red lettering in it also. | I was unfamiliar with this translation, until I found this when looking for an NT to fit in the pocket to take on holiday last year. I've grown to enjoy it very much. The translators' philosophy is to express the sense of each thought in modern English, rather than producing a literal word-for-word translation. As such, it is excellent for reading [as distinct from studying]; and in many places I found the sense springing off the page to illuminate passages in unsuspected ways. A great find: specially good as it also has the Psalms and Proverbs.
