| I was having major difficulties reading and studying the Bible because of my eyesight. Not only being able to read the giant print edition without my eyeglasses; it is a wonderful translation. I bought this bible as a gift for my dad. It is the largest print bible I've ever seen. I was very pleased with the quality of binding. My only reservation about it is that it doesn't include any real study materials in the back. (No maps, very small concordance, no note pages, etc.) This is understandable given that the type is so big, and they were probably trying to get the book down to a manageable size. They succeeded. The bible isn't oversized. (You wouldn't know without looking inside that it has such large print). I would have liked just a more robust concordance, even if it meant 10 or 15 extra pages.
A word on the translation: NLT is a very readable, modern translation. I believe it is as modern of a translation as possible, without sacrificing the original meaning of the text. It is NOT a literal translation, so any critical studying of small sections of text will be less than accurate when compared to the original languages. | | | | NLTse Giant Print Dec 14, 2009 |

The print of this Bible is a dream. I am so pleased with it. I don't need to use my glasses at all. Would recommend it to anyone. Friends have commented WOW where did you get that it is so easy to read. And the NLT has become my favorite version for reading, for study I like the Amplified.
