| I had a hard time picking out a bible for myself because I research, and I love the Amplified version too. However, this bible with its' WORD WEALTH, and fantastic footnotes, helps etc is a lifetime resource. I am happy for the tabbed pages, however, they have grouped books together, like 3 or 4 into one tab so it still does take time to find what you are looking for. The gilt edged pages are really true gold colored. The pages are thin but strong, the binding is flexible. Mine arrived with a scratch on the cover but I so needed a bible i figured it would be ok. I only wish it came in more than one color. I think Jack Hayford and team did an excellent Job on this NKJV and I have found the enormous wealth of studies so vast that It will definitely take a lifetime to study. | I had done a ton of research for a real good referance bible with being able to look at any while at sea. this was a great choice everything I was looking for with two book tabs, great referances, concordance, and many extras. | This is absolutely the best New King James version out there! And how could anyone live without thumb tabs? The paper is good so underlining with ball point doesn't bleed thru and the foot notes are phenomenal, providing trmendous understanding and revelation. It is like everything you need in one Bible - there are cross references, word wealth (which is similar to Strong's dictionary), history, and introductions to give you a greater understanding for God's word.
