 | Very disappointed Mar 15, 2007 |
| First of all, this book was too darn BIG to really carry around. And for people on the go, books always need to be portable. Secondly, the cumbersome "academic" language the author used was difficult to understand, and in my opinion, was complete bull----. It just seems to me that such authors are only trying to appear smarter than they really are. There are other, more laymen-oriented bible study books that would be a far more productive read than this oversized monstrosity. | | | | Christian Theology, byMillard J. | I needed the book for Systematic Theology and it served as a wonderful source. I am going to keep the book for future use! | | | | Depends on what you're looking for... Sep 7, 2006 |
| This was the text used in conjunction with my seminary level Systematic Theology course and was a thoroughly enjoyable and thought-provoking volume. While I felt that it did promote depth of thought and deference to scripture, I also found that there were many times when the author tried to stradle and reconcile popular positions rather awkwardly. If you read the text to get answers you will likely be dissappointed, however, if you read it to help stimulate thought and perhaps open doors to ideas and perspectives you had not previously considered, you will be well rewarded. | | | | Most Useful Feb 24, 2006 |
| This book was purchased for a class that I am currently taking and it has been very enlighting. I have learned Erickson's thoughts on the nature of sin, the source of sin, the conceptions of Salvation and much more. This book will be use for my continued growth and knowledge regarding Christian Theology. | | | Write your own review about Christian Theology
