You would think this brother took this music straight from heaven. Awesome talent. 'We need your glory' takes you to another level. The anointing will fall on you like rain!
Take My Life..............HOLINESS is truly appreciated Jun 24, 2006
I bought this cd affter hearing Micah on "HeMotions"-Bishop T.D. Jakes release. Holiness is now one of my favorite songs and always on my Playlist. Now for his debut release, the first time I listened to this cd, I didn't quite care for it(but I was not disappointed!) It truly is one of those cds that you must listen to words to enjoy the music, which is what made me truly appreciate the songs more. This cd has several songs that will be a blessing to anyone who can take the time to listen to words he sings and less to the music. I am truly looking foward to his second release.
Going to Church for Sure!!! Mar 28, 2006
If you want a CD that will give you the memory of the old time church- This is the CD for you. It will take you back to that soul searching times- those Friday night shut-ins!
Poor Execution Dec 5, 2005
This album was a huge disappointment for me. I had heard the song "Holiness" before I bought it and I thought it reflected the rest of the album so I bought it. I was wrong. Micah's songwriting ability is bland and lyrically challenged. Also, I find him to be more of a screamer than a singer. He needs balance.
Clearly a Worshipper Nov 30, 2005
Micah Stampley is clearly part of the wave of worship leaders for this and the next generation. Though he's relatively new to the national scene, his passion for God and the very evident anointing on him will surely capture the hearts of many. He reminds me a lot of Pastor Donnie McClurkin both in vocal quality and passionate worship.
There are many songs I like on this CD -- especially his rendition of "Take My Life (Holiness)." There's an honesty in his music that is very compelling...and his voice is amazing!
The accompanying music is a bit low-tech, but the heart of the psalmist conveyed through the lyrics takes you past that. I look forward to his future projects.
