Reviews - What do our customers think?
 | Speaks to the heart Sep 19, 2007 |
| If you've never read a Max Lucado book with your child or grandchild, this is a great one to start with. You won't be able to stop with just one, however. This particular book speaks to the heart of what every child goes throught: I am better than everyone else or I am below everyone else. Max beautifully illustrates how our Maker intends for us all to work together and be on the same level together. Working together. The illustrations are magnificent. Go on, you know you want to be closer to the child in your life ... and the child in your heart.. pick up this book and snuggle up! | | | | No better lesson for your kids Sep 12, 2005 |
| The lessons and messages taught in these Lucado books through Punchinello and his friends are very effective. If you want children with great self esteem, high confidence, ability to choose the right path, not afraid to say 'no' to peer pressure, always treat others with respect, leaders amongst their friends, far less troubles than other kids....then you'll get all Lucado books like this and read them to your kids. The kids love the stories, and I bet there's even a message parents will get as well. You can't buy a better book for your grandchildren, children, nieces, nepwhews or friends. Make an investment in your kids future that pays off big time. Ours has already, and we're so glad we did! | | | | Best of All Dec 17, 2004 |
| Max Lucado has done it again with his book "Best of All". He continues to teach life long lessons using creative characters that are able to captivate readers of all ages. Sergio Martinez does an amazing job making the story come alive for readers with his illustrations. I use Lucado's books in my third grade classroom and we always have wonderful, heartfelt discussions to follow. I recommend his books to anyone with children of their own or to an educator who wants to fully enthrall his/her students while teaching moral lessons. | | | | Big, Small, Young, Old, Christian, or not Nov 10, 2004 |
| The students at my (elementary) school love Max Lucado's books and this is one of their favorites. It is a message that is told over and over again - everyone is different, everyone is special. But Mr. Lucado tells this story in a new way, simply and beautifully. As a teacher, I can't recommend it enough. As an adult, I appreciate the message. As a kid who doesn't want to grow up, I just love the story and characters. | | | | Sexist? Sep 2, 2004 |
| I'd like to comment on the reader who found men curtsying offensive. You would rather pass up a beautiful book with a Christian message because the writer used the word "curtsy" in reference to a man? Please see your pastor and if he agrees with you, I pray for both of you. Get over it before your soul gets into any more trouble. This is the kind of sexism that gives Christians a bad name and makes the secular world wary. | | | Write your own review about Best Of All
