Reviews - What do our customers think?
 | Beautifully written, yet frightening for unbelievers. May 7, 2010 |
| I gave a copy of this to my 82 year old father, who even now seems to be trying to ride the fence on the issue of Biblical salvation. Having been saved myself for about 15 years (at 35), I still cringe to even think about the implications of a person dying outside of Christ. Sometimes a person has to be frightened into considering their options, and Lutzer's little book might just be the tool for those adamant unbelievers that think nothing of their eternal abode. | | | | One Minute After You Die Mar 25, 2010 |
Held my attension all the way through. I put off other things in order to read this book. | | | | Don't waste your time or money....unless you are a believer. Sep 13, 2009 |
| A book full of jargon and old testament quotes to scare one into accepting Jesus as savior. I kept thinking "who would actually believe this ideology". I suppose if one is a born-again Christian one would suck this information in as a breath of air that keeps the questionable alive in their mind. | | | | Religion (especially Christianity) posions everything! Sep 6, 2009 |
I feel bad for the author of this book who actually believes this stuff just like so many fundamentalist Christians in America today. To think this is the real character of "Christ" just because the Bible (which happens to have been seriously mistranslated by scribes in the early centuries) says is true is ludicrous. The bible is a chockfull of errors since we don't have the original documents and the scribes are the one who copied everything my HAND and inserted what they wanted. Read the book "Misquoting Jesus". Do you hard-line Christians really think there will be a "Judgment Seat of Christ" after we die? I personally wish Jesus never came down to earth 2000 years ago because of all the trouble he caused and the millions of people who were killed IN HIS NAME thinking they were going to heaven.
If Jesus is really the Son of God then he definitely doesn't condemn people to hell just for merely not accepting him as "Lord and Savior" and not confessing their sins to 'Him'. I believe in Jesus' humanity and that he was a "special person", but what the Bible says about him as God and especially what it says in the Book of Revelations is mostly wrong and a much of mistranslations.
I recommend that you 5 star reviewers read the book "God is not Great; How Religion Poisons Everything". That is a real good book and talks about how so many people are died the past 1800 years in the name of God. I am also sick and tired of how some Christians are so "content" with their lives and preach the gospel while they still believe in the traditional doctrine of hell knowing most people will go there. These people need a real slap and a few punches in the face! What are they "smiling about" if hell in their minds really exist.
In closing most beliefs of Christians today are very similar to those held by the 9/11 hijackers and Al-Quida about heaven and hell. Follow some rules and confessions your sins and you will go to heaven; otherwise you will burn in hell with NO WAY OUT...oh, really? What a bunch of serious bull! That is all I am going to say!
Save your money and don't buy this POS.
PS- Do you fundies really think Hitler is in heaven just because he did or did not put his trust in Jesus before he committed suicide in April 1945. If you believe that then you have some serious problems! | | | | One of the best Scriptural explanations of death Aug 1, 2009 |
