 | Okay, But....Disappointing Jan 25, 2007 |
| I just finished this one, the 4th in the Men of the Saddle Series and after the first 3, this one was disappointing. I agree with some of the other reviews, the author should have stopped after the 3 Claxton Brothers. The first 3 followed a time line and then this one went back to right after the war and I just had a hard time getting through it. I finally skimmed the rest of it to read the ending. The first one, The Plainsman, had to be the all time best of the Series. | | | | Could of done withou... Sep 12, 2006 |
| This was the last book in the Men of the Saddle series and I feel she could of stopped after the first three. The first three were about the Claxton brothers yet this last book was about one of their friends. I guess I just didn't find it necessary to tell this story. The message about forgiving is great but it could've been done in one of the other three. I really LOVED the first three books and only kept reading the last one becuse it was part of the series. | | | | Ending Not Buy-able Mar 10, 2006 |
| I liked the story. The major conflict, however, was quickly resolved in the last few pages in a way that I wasn't buying. The characters are fun and likable, but I've read better by this author. | | | | Another award winning book from Lori Copeland. Feb 25, 2006 |
| "The Plainsman" is another great read of Lori Copeland. Lori always writes an entertaining story. This is the last book in the "Men of the Saddle" series, and if you haven't read them, I would suggest that you get them and read them. If you like stories about the old west (1800's), and the men and women that lived then, you will like this book too. I know I thoroughly enjoy all of Lori Copeland's book, and I'm looking forward to her next book. | | | | Lori has stopped trying Feb 13, 2006 |
| I barely got through this one. It was slow and plodding with no action or character development. I usually like Lori's books, but her last one was a rewrite of a secular novel she changed slightly for the Christian market. I resented buying what I thought was a new book when Lori was passing off an old story that she changed very little. Very disappointing. | | | Write your own review about The Plainsman (Men of the Saddle Series #4)
