 | Join Dr. Lesslie for an Amazing Journey! Jan 20, 2010 |
| Dr. Lesslie chronicles his poignant journey as a veteran emergency department physician in this beautifully-written collection of true stories. He will make you laugh and he will make you cry as he draws you into his world. I especially like the insight Dr. Lesslie offers into the realities and challenges of working in a hospital emergency department. He accomplishes this with a light heart and without a hint of self-pity. He chose this very stressful career path for all the right reasons - he knew he could make a difference. Well done! I can't wait for the release of Angels on Call! | | | | Pacific Book Review, November 17, 2009 Nov 23, 2009 |

What an amazingly charming uplifting book. A beautiful blend of science and the spiritual world. If you ever wandered if there is life after death, this book will surely convince you that eternal life does exist. Dr. Lesslie makes it very clear life is fragile, and one of the lessons we will learn is humility is the greatest virtue. Dr. Lesslie has to make split second decisions that only God could orchestrate. You will explore the different challenges, stresses, wonders and mysteries in the ER. Even if you don't normally read religious material, this book will touch your heart. Be it your God, Buddha, Yahweh, or Muhammad, almost all of us answer to a higher power. This heartwarming book is perfect to read with a friend, and especially with your guardian angel. | | | | Amazingly good heartfelt book about the human condition Nov 21, 2009 |
Dr. Lesslie's Angels in the ER: Inspiring True Stories from an Emergency Room doctor will make you both laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time, as you see through his eyes an honest appraisal of life in the ER. As the good doctor comments, the ER is where we are all put on an even keel. Perhaps not in those exact words but he does write about how bankers and common folks are both brought to the same level of circumstance as all can be seen in their barest glory.
Lesslie also writes about the "untouchables" the people who society happens to "forget" except for the angels in the ER.
Finally, Lesslie gives several examples of angels, perhaps the ones that are invisible, but angels all the same.
For Christians, each chapter usually starts with a Biblical verse illustrating the upcoming story. His book would make an excellent Christmas present.
Highly recommend.

| I enjoyed this book a lot. It was not the most exciting or captivating book I ever read and I wouldn't put it on my "favorite book" list, but it was enjoyable to read. It held my attention and was inspiring. | | | Write your own review about Angels In The ER
