| Father of Dragons was a great book. If anyone likes fantasy, they should read the series. It was surprising to find out who Aljeron and the group met along the way! | | | | Can't wait for next one Aug 21, 2008 |
The lonely hero is about to die. The army is facing annihilation. And far off, wings of hope sped to the rescue. Can they get there in time? Is this a scene from Return of the King--or the ending of Father of Dragons? The fourth of five books in the series, Father of Dragons ends with a monstrous cliffhanger. But the book is more than just a buildup to All My Holy Mountain. With new characters introduced and old friends brought back, this book increases the stakes in the war for Kirthanin. As I finished it, I felt a strange excitement, a longing for the day when all things shall be made new.

| The fourth book in the Binding of the Blade series opens to the dreary continent of Kirthanin, after the constant rains induced by the Bringer of Storms have finally ceased. After going on for half the book trying desperately to portray the feelings of each individual character (there are many), meeting an annoying old man in search for his family, moping a bit about how Benjiah is going to be killed, and walking halfway across the country, all your favorite characters are killed in a large (and dull) battle. Meanwhile, Aljernon succeeds in waking up the Father of Dragons and trudges slowly back across the mountains just in time to miss the huge battle that kills half of his friends. A supposedly heart-warming ending while Benjiah is about to be hung dooms this book to the basement forever. A grand, time-consuming waste of time action lovers will do good to stay away from. | | | | Father of Dragons Mar 3, 2008 |
| I absolutely loved this book. I think Graham has done an excellent job with this fourth in the series. | | | Write your own review about Father of Dragons (The Binding of the Blade, Book 4)
