| If you are a business person and working at bringing goodness and meaning to the workplace, this Bible is for you. Real life leadership tips based on scriptures. I first was introduced to this book from a friend of mine from out of town. We went to her church on Sunday and she pulled out this Bible. She is teaching an adult church class and uses it for part of her training materials. I was absolutely blown away by the real life applications to management and leadership in the business world. I was raised in a very religious environment but have basically grown away from the church. This Bible has brought me back to a completely different understanding of the meaning of "religion". I actually practiced many of these things prior, but of course learned more, and realized you can be spirtual in business. Being a career person all my life, I wish I had found this book earlier in my career. I would have had less "hard" lessons to learn. | I personally own the first edition and gave this edition to my pastor. I have read many of Maxwell's books on leadership and have nothing but praise for the quality and sound teachings in all of his publications. The Maxwell Leadership Bible is an outstanding resource for any Christian or someone wanting to dive deeper into the Word of God. There are side explanations, stories, and direct application to the Maxwell Leadership principles on every page. These examples are easy to read and understand and relate directly to the Biblical text that it references. Many of the examples include lessons learned from the figures and stories from within the Bible and how to apply them to our own lives and leadership skills. There is also the historical references at the beginning of each chapter, background information about the author and major figures within the chapter, and then sub-headings throughout the passages to further identify specific topics. This is my main Bible that I read daily, take to church, and use at Bible study. | I have over 30 bibles. Many of them are study bibles. John Maxwell's notes on leadership and character are priceless. The notes and layout is very easy to use...much better than the first edition. This bible is not just for those in positions of leadership. I have bought this bible for baby Christians and they love and learn from it. This is the only study bible I use now.
