This is more tripe based on the manmade interpretive "theory" based on dispensationalism. This is a hogwash theory of bible interpretation that was "created" by an 18th Century itenerant preacher named Darby. The problem with it is is that it subjectively reads headlines and then interprets those headlines as meaning this, that or the other thing from the Book of Revelation. This is made even more humourous when one considers that as this belief system is primarily rooted in fundamentalism, which claims to adhere to a strict literal reading of the Bible that they would suddenly throw that literal reading out the window when it comes to the Book of Revelation and draw all sort of fallible conclusions by comparing headlines and news reports to the Bible. I will be very candid about the fact that I am Catholic and I use to buy into and read this tripe, whether it be this particular version or Hal Lindsey's works, (which interestingly enough he had to keep cranking out new books to modify his own fallible interpretations). If one really wants to learn about the Book of Revelation I highly recommend spending a few extra dollars on the Dr. Scott Hahn's, (a convert to Catholicism), program, (CD and workbook), called "The End". In this program he examines, compares and explains apocalyptic literature. He explains how the early Church and its' fathers from the Patristic era understood this book. Some might not find it as "sexy" as "pop" Bible interpretation, but it is much more intellectual, theological and thoughtful as compared to the volumes being pumped out for major cash from the "Left Behind" crowd. Lastly, if expecting to be removed from the Earth before any serious tribulation, trials or troubles try to keep in mind that since our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ's ascension into Heaven Christians have been expected to be witnesses, and quite often martyrs for the faith. In fact, the Church experienced its' greatest growth and expansions during periods of persecutions by the likes of Nero, Diocletian, etc. Also, remember Christ's prayer on his last night before his sacrificial death; he didn't pray that his Apostles and followers would be preserved from physical harm or torment, but that they would be one with him as He was one with the Father.

I found this book extremely interesting and have passed it on to others in my family to read. I learned a lot of history of the prior temples that I did not know. I find this a fascinating subject and was not disappointed in this book.

Although I disagreed with some of Mr. Jeffery's findings and some of his theology I really learned quite a bit. I too have been to Israel and went to some of the sites that were "not open to the public" and our Jewish tour guide took great pleasure in teaching us about the significance of where we were. This book was so educational in the secular sense as well as spiritual. I am glad I read the book and will probably read others by same author.

Mr. Jeffery is one of the most important figures on Christian prophecy. He has written one of the major fictional accounts of the Lords second coming and the End of Days but this is NOT fiction - this is real! This is a great book as well as a great work of Christian prophecy and is very detailed. A great book for scholars or lay folks like me. For a very compelling docudrama DVD Movie on the End of Days see: The Final Events DVD The movie is great because it shows CNN like news reports of what will happen during the End Days. Both are well recommended. The movie is also good to show unbelievers as it is very powerfully convincing.
