Item Description...
Open your home to this very meaningful print of Jack Dawson's painting 'His Eye is on the Sparrow'. This Open Edition print is 14 inches by 18 inches in size and is framed in a gorgeous gold toned frame.
His eye is on the sparrow is a well-known excerpt from the Bible. The Book of Matthew Ch:10, Vs 31 says 'Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows'.
God looks after every step of the way, in every aspect of our journey in this life. When He provides everything for the sparrow, then we have nothing to worry, nothing to fear. God will provide for us as well because we are of more value than the sparrows.
This frame beautifully enhances this verse, the Jack Dawson way. He paints a magnificent picture of scenic beauty with trees, rocks and a little stream flowing through. Soothing colors merge into a gorgeous cascade of serene splendor. Amidst this encompassing beauty sits a lone, little sparrow, almost unseen among the trees and rocks.
But you see, the little sparrow is not alone....Jesus is there, sitting with him, probably talking to him.
Look closely and you'll see the face of Jesus emerge from the foliage of trees just above the sparrow and the tree with white blossoms. His shoulders and hands are fashioned from the rock from which the stream flows. Such an apt comparison!
He holds the sparrow, us and the entire world in strong hands while the river of life comes from Him because of His sacrifice for us.
Jesus is always there; we just need to look closer. Jack Dawson's art teaches us to do just that.
Bring home this meaningful canvas print framed in gorgeous gold toned wood. It's also the perfect gift for friends and family.
More about the Artist
Born in 1950, Jack E. Dawson was an early bird where art was concerned. By 20, he had several accomplishments to his credit including a 30 foot statue, The Praying Hands, that still stands in his hometown Webb City, Missouri. Adept with watercolor, oil, acrylic and sculpture, he believes in using his talents to bring people closer to God. He is now a Sunday School teacher and a deacon in his church.
Bittersweet Gallery is the labour of love of Jack and his wife, Nancy. This endeavor was launched 20 years ago and still stands true. In 1999, Dawson began creating the series, now popularly known as the 'Seek and Find' series. However the couple wanted people to experience these paintings.
So instead of just hanging up these masterpieces in an upmarket gallery, they produced prints of the original work and thus began a whole new chapter. With the help of their children, the prints were brought to stores and were made available through websites. Now a novelty gift shop item, these prints are in vogue and in major demand all over the country.
