Each story is no more than two pages long but leaves you with the need to reflect on what you have just read. | When I read all the essays, tears came to my eyes. The stories are faith affirming, heart warming and reflect the universal journey of life filled with joy and sorrow and above all, love. | I have to admit, I'm not catholic, I'm not relgious at all. I read a story from this collection titled "My Saturday Starfish" which I really liked. It's a meaningful story on an interpersonal level; it's all about interacting with kids who have no direction and trying to help them and believe what you're doing is good even when you can't see the results. And it's meaningful on a philosophical level...that faith need not be religious to be important to our lives. They have a calming effect on me.
