| I have been looking for the perfect bilingual bible for some time. The majority of Spanish speaking churches use the Reina Valeria edition. Add to this most bilingual bibles I have seen use NIV or other looser translations. I would have settled for the NKJV also, but I like the flavor of the regular King James Version. For someone learning Spanish, this is the best because when reading along it is best to use the version everyone else has. For those learning English, a different English edition would be better, but the Reina Valeria is still the Spanish version I would look for. The only real challenge is the Castillian use of vosotros and the more formal usage. The only problem with the descriptions this site uses is they don't give the most important information for one who is not just going to read this bible, but will be using it in church. This edition is in simulated leather (not cheap hrdbound), it is a red letter edition, and, Most importantly for church use, is thumb-indexed to help find the scriptures referenced during sermons. This is a good buy at the price and will not disappoint. | | | | Learning Spanish, the sure way. Jul 13, 2001 |
| ...The best way to learn English (for English speakers) is the read the bible. The same is true for Spanish. El major camino para aprender su idioma es a leer su Santa Biblia. Esta biblia es lado a lado, con Engles en un lado y con Espanol en el otro lado. This bible has the Spanish on one side, and english on the other. In many instances, the Spanish is a better translation. | | | Write your own review about Biblia Bilingue: 1960 Reina-Valera Revision and King James Version (KJV), imitacion piel negra indice
