| If you're interested in learning of the health benefits of fasting this book will give you a little of that. If you're interested in knowing what's going on in God's mind, this book will give you a lot -- too much -- of that. Having worked with the Reverend C. Franklin Loehr, who's ground-breaking study, The Power of Prayer on Plants (Doubleday, 1959), scientifically demonstrated that prayer indeed works, I didn't need any further convincing. I simply wanted to know about fasting. But alas! I can't blame the author, Marilyn Hickey. She stated at the outset with the title that prayer is a part of what this book is about. Had she confined her book to that (prayer), and not constantly telling us what God is thinking I would give this book 5 stars.
