 | Yet another demonstration of gross ignorance Jul 31, 2009 |
It is unfortunate that Henry Morris exploits the ignorance of people. Not only does he distort scriptures in the Bible to suit his ends, but misrepresents scientific information for the same reason. Ultimately, as demonstrated by the excitable posts above, he demonstrates just how easy it is to fool those who have not truly studied the Bible and who have not been a participant in the last 100 years of scientific research & discovery.
I highly recommend those interested in this book please research this material from reliable, educated sources, and realize that Mr. Morris has only hurt the Christian community with his fabrications and grossly literal misinterpretations of the Bible. | | | | A Great Introduction For the "Well Educated" Jul 25, 2006 |
I read the newest edition of this book and found it extremely compelling. The point that Morris makes is very clear: Since there is no way that any of us could be there to witness the origin of the universe, we have to look at the evidence to see if our model is consistent with the evidence. Creationism, by the evidence presented in this book, is by far more consistent with the evidence than is Evolutionism. But you won't hear that in the public schools which daily indoctrinate our children to accept the theories of evolution simply because the teacher says so. And somehow this is considered good science? This book says to take a good honest look for yourself. If I could give any critique, it would be that I wanted more information. But I know this is meant to be an intoduction, even if it is clear and compelling. I guess I'll just have to find more books on this fascinating subject. | | | | Edited by Henry Morris May 10, 2006 |
| I do not agree with anyone all the time but think the those responsible for this book have done an outstanding job. Both creation & evolution should be presented in schools. | | | | Awsome book with tons of facts! Mar 29, 2006 |
In Scientific Creationism, Henry M. Morris talks about the flaws in evolution and how the creationist view makes more sense. He backs up his arguments with scientific facts. The most interesting part of the book is the uphill or downhill chapter. It talks about natural selection and how it could never work, backing his statements with scientific evidence.
Reading this book is like opening a chest full of treasure. Henry Morris talks about the beginning of the universe, if animals evolved, the age of the Earth, and many other hot controversies. An example on how natural selection doesn't work is that the certain DNA code in an animal cannot produce a different animal, because the DNA can only be shuffled with the original code. He gives the creationist and evolutionist point of views equal time in the book. This book should be read by all.

| This book provides a compelling argument that the entire fossil record is a result of the great flood of Noah's time. If so, it undermines the evolutionists' arguments that the fossil record reflects the process of evolution across great ages of the earth's history. The book also argues quite well for a literal six-day creation period. It is quite readable and comprehensive. Overall, it supports the observation, made on my frankrega site, that evolution is the greatest science fiction story of all time. | | | | An excellent scientific book but couldve been better if it had been cowritten by an evolutionist Aug 16, 2005 |
| I've been reading the reviews on this site and I have to say that creationism in the form of ID is mounting the most intelligent attack to date on the problems with evolutionary theory. There are parts of evolutionary theory we have empirically observed, such as mutations within species but we haven't sufficiently observed transitions from one species to another, that's largely an act of faith on the part of evolutionists, whose definition of transitional fossils isnt actually satisfying to me. The part of intelligent design that postulates intelligent design hasnt been proved and would be difficult if not impossible to prove. BUt I would think that anyone who considers themselves scientific would know to research some of the problems raised against the fossil record (to which evolutionists reply that not the best fossils have been fossilized, thats like saying "We cant find it because it was never fossilized but it does exist" not exactly empirical) | | | Write your own review about Scientific Creationism
