 | Great little book Jun 28, 2008 |
| This is the first book I have read by the author, and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. It is so simple but true in its message. Persistence and faith are the two main things that I took away from his message. The things he speaks of, you may already know. However, he has a way of writing so that his message of faith really sinks in. I look forward to getting other books he has written. | | | | A BOOK TO GROW ON May 27, 2008 |
Most Christians need encouragement in learning to pray for healing. This book by an expert is terrific for getting one started. Just as Jesus healed all kinds of illnesses in His earthly ministry, He encourages us to continue this ministry in our own lives in our own families and beyond.
I sent this book to my nephew and he phoned to say that he has begun praying for healing starting with his girlfriend.
It is easy to read and covers the subject of prayer for the sick wonderfully. I recommend this book highly. Francis MacNutt has written with expertise and great experience. | | | | Simple, practical, and specific Aug 29, 2007 |
I first ran across this book in the library of a retreat center when I was on a self-guided prayer retreat, and was so delighted with it that I decided to order a copy of my own. Covering the basics for a direct healing prayer ministry, the book will allow either individuals or teams to ramp up even when they're just getting started. MacNutt, more than many other writers on prayer, highlights the reality of gradual healing when oral, spontaneous prayer is applied repeatedly over a period of time, and identifies specific techniques besides just words that help to communicate the prayer to the one being prayed for.
While MacNutt is a Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox believers will find this book helpful too.

| All of Francis books are wonderful and timeless. A spiritual person should have their library replete with all of the books of Francis MacNutt, Tiffany Snow, Tommy Tenny, and Agnes Sanford, just to name a few. These are the foundations that miracles are built on. | | | | Wonderful introduction to the helaing power of God! Feb 17, 1999 |
| This small, encouraging book is perfect as an introduction to healing prayer. It is written by a man who has an active and annointed healing ministry in Jacksonville Florida. It is a "quick read", and very inspiring. | | | Write your own review about The Prayer That Heals: Praying for Healing in the Family
