| We've been reading this book for nearly one week now, and even if we miss a day of reading, it has encouraged us to still pray. It is helping us to focus and directs our prayers, instead of the "routine" prayers. The book also asks questions and created communication (though we are not always up answering it still puts the thougts in our heads). It is also a very short nightly read, so it is easier to pick up when tired than a longer devotional. I thoroughly enjoy the works of D&B Rainey, and this little book is no exception. | The introduction states, "Praying together may be the single most important spiritual discipline you and your spouse will ever share." A strong claim, but I fully agree and this book is a great way to start or develop that powerful discipline of prayer together. The book has 30 brief daily readings, and each reading also includes a question or activity for reflection and a sample prayer or prayer points for the couple to use as a springboard to pray together.
