Wassail in an Elizabeth Brownd holiday design box with a distinctive butterfly-closure top. Wassail is a hot, spiced apple cider drink mix made with orange and lemon peel, nutmeg, cinnamon and sugar. Just add the powdered mix to one gallon of apple juice or cider and heat for a holiday treat. The name comes from Victorian England where people who could not afford their own wassail would offer to sing Christmas carols to neighbors in exchange for some of the delicious brew. "A-wassailing we shall go" became a popular name for this new activity and the name of the drink.
