Another excellent gospel collection from Cristy Mar 31, 2009
This companion to the gospel compilation One Day At A Time, Vol. 1 & 2: 22 All Time Favorites strays from the gospel theme by including Danny boy (the Irish classic), I've come back to say I love you one more time (a country love song) and three patriotic songs (God bless America, America the beautiful, Star spangled banner) but Cristy's fans won't complain about their inclusion.
The title track (a great narrative track) and I have a dream (a cover of an Abba song that Cristy prefers to re-title I believe in angels) were both country hits for Cristy. Two of the other gospel songs (What a friend we have in Jesus, The Lord's prayer) are famous, but the remainder are songs that I don't remember hearing elsewhere. That said, although I have a few albums of gospel music, I haven't got deeply into gospel music so maybe some of these songs are well-known by dedicated fans of such music. Among them, my favorite is Standing on the promises, an uplifting song typical of the great music here.
This is a great companion to One Day At A Time, Vol. 1 & 2: 22 All Time Favorites, which contains a higher proportion of famous songs.
My Mom Loves This CD Jul 3, 2008
My 94-year-old Mom loves this CD. If you're looking for music for an older person, they might love this. Not to say younger people wouldn't enjoy the CD, too. But at my Mom's age, it's a little hard to buy gifts for her as she doesn't want a lot of "things" - so I'm always thrilled to find something she uses and truly enjoys.

I have always loved Cristy Lane's music, and these two cds are no exception. They are wonderful to listen to when I'm having a bad day. I would recommend them to anyone.
