Reviews - What do our customers think?
 | Misinformation Jul 26, 2005 |
I have not read this book as yet (which is why it has three stars), but I have read many reviews, on both pagan and Wiccan websites. I have a few things that I would like to bring up. Too many people believe the information given blindly by those of other religions. Christianity is a wonderful religion that holds up decent guidelines for its believers to follow. Wiccan, on the opposite end of the spectrum belief-wise, is a nature-based religion whose main creed (the Wiccan Rede) is "An it harm none." Witches use magick, yes, but not to harm anyone. In this particular scenario, I believe the suffering party is the Wiccans, while the instigator is poor misinformed Ruth Brown.
| | | | Great intro to the workings of Witchcraft Jul 5, 2004 |
| Short, but efficient! This book is an excellent intro for new Christians or more seasoned Christians that are new to the workings of the spiritual realm. Brown gives several examples of how the enemy uses people to bring down a Christian and either halt or inhibit the workings of the Holy Spirit. This book deals specifially with the 'black' type of witchcraft in that all of the examples given show direct attacks against what God is doing in an area or person. While it did not address 'white' witchcraft, I feel it is the perfect book for the Christian who is just beginning to learn about this aspect of demonic activity, and reinforces the necessity of pleading the blood of Christ. | | | | This is very sad Apr 22, 2004 |
| I gave this book a star simply because this site wouldn't allow me to submit this without one but if I could I wouldn't have given it any. I will admit that I haven't read this book but being a wiccan and a religious history reader I find it so sad that so many people write these horrible things about the wiccan path. We are peaceful people who honor all things sacred and value life. The difference between pagans and non pagans is that pagan people take the time to read about other religions and don't go around saying that Christians or Jewish people are evil just because we don't follow their faith. We have respect for people who find faith regardless of the path. I have read many many books on Christianity, Gnosticism, the Saints, etc. and have found many things of beauty in all of them. Wiccans learn from other faiths. I can't believe that in the times that we live in that there is so much misunderstanding and tolerance. Some of those reviews were hateful, not to mention ignorant and misdirected. My best friend is a devout Catholic and we respect each others faiths and even make comparisons. We believe that there is joy in religion not hate. The other major difference is that pagans celebrate their faith, not mourn it. All of you who wrote hateful comments about wiccans should also realize that many Christian ideals were actually pagan ideals and that many churches are built on pagan ground. The Christian holidays were based on pagan holidays. This isn't made up stuff, this is fact. If you would all take the time to read about it perhaps you wouldn't be so judgmental. You all know the saying (or perhaps you don't) people fear what they don't understand. | | | | Needful Knowledge for Born Again Believers in Jesus Christ Dec 19, 2003 |
| I have only read excerpts from this book at demonbuster.com but this book proclaims victory in Jesus Christ, in alignment with the power of God's Living Word and the redemptive power of His blood. If you desire to overcome every weapon and wile of the enemy, study the Word and follow the example of warriors like Ruth Brown. The blood of Jesus heals us, restores us and renews us. The blood of Jesus breaks every spirit, scheme, curse and device of the enemy and his agents acting against us and our households. Amen. | | | | Living where I do, this book taught me what I need to know. Aug 18, 2001 |
| The area where I live is filled with witchcraft. Ruth Browns book taught me just what I need to learn how to stand my ground. This book will open your eyes to what needs to be done for your family and loved ones, and your church, and for the glory of God. I truely enjoyed this book. | | | Write your own review about Destroying The Works Of Witchcraft
