 | Get Equipped For spiritual Battle! Feb 21, 2007 |
This book is a battle manual for Christians. It alerts the reader to various things to watch for when engaging the enemy in spiritual warfare. It explains how to deal with "inserts" such as curse pins, satan's web, I.U.D.s, crstals, etc. It also shows how deal with poisioning(in satanism demons are often included along with the poisioning, making the poision lethal in more than one way), demonic illnesses, caging incantations, ley-lines, and more.
The most fascinating aspect of this book is that after Rebecca gets done exposing some of the deep dark secrets of the occult, she finishes the book with a chapter entitled "TO SATANISTS WITH LOVE" in which she tries to convince Satanists who may be reading her book to stop serving Satan and start serving Jesus Christ. Loving Satanists doesn't mean that she accepts or approves of what they do--she spends most of the book explaining how to avoid the traps and snares of the occult, and how to protect yourself from attacks by the Satanists. I believe that the reason that some readers accuse her of writing books full of hate is that they read about the things that the Satanists do and think "How can anyone love people who do these kinds of things?" and then project this attitude onto the author. They believe that people are a person can only love a Satanist if they overlook this behavior or are unaware of it; However, this type of conditional love is not based on truth and will therefore fail once the person with this type of attitude faces the fact that the Satanists do these types of things. Only love that is based on truth will be able to stand this kind of test. Having this kind of unconditional love for someone DOES NOT MEAN that you accept this kind of behavior--it means that you love them in spite of the fact that they do these kinds of behaviors. Jesus said to "BLESS THOSE THAT CURSE YOU AND PRAY FOR THOSE THAT DESPITEFULLY USE YOU." What better example of this than the Satanists? This book has changed the way that I view spiritual warfare. I've read other books on spiritual warfare and looked at various practices used by Christians in spiritual warfare, and have come to the conclusion that many of these practices are not scriptural as a result of reading this book.

I'm not entirely sure, but if you're any other religion/denomination other than Ms. Brown's particular brand of Christianity (Church of the Nazarine, as far as I can tell, judging by the glowing introduction written by a preacher from that denomination), than you'd be better skipping over this pile of hate, paranoia and outlandish lies.
Unless, of course, you're a fan of "Weekly World News" type of stories, in which case, this book should give you a day's worth of eye rolls and bemused grunts. Because that's all this is: a crockpot full of hate for everything, most glaringly Catholic. I make no attempt to hide the fact that I'm a devout Catholic, which, according to Ms. Brown, means that I'm infested with demons, since (and I'm paraphrasing) even once rid of my demons I will still possess an overwhelming desire to return to the Church for the Eucharist. Go figure.
Generally, intelligent, educated people aren't even going to stumble across this derranged author, so this review is unneccesary. However, if a Catholic finds his/her way here, thanks to all the "we'll show you the 'truth' of Catholicism" bible classes offered by so many Evangelical churches, I hope you'll take a minute to read this, and then wander back of to one of the "Suprised By Truth" websites instead. | | | | Becoming a Vessel of Honor Oct 7, 2005 |
| Good book to read if you need reference in dealing with Satanists and those coming out of it. This is a helpful book that deals with the issues of born-again in Christ satanist. It gives you an idea what's out there, but also gives some info on how to deal with it. | | | | You shouldnt poke fun-these things are real. Jun 13, 2005 |
| I read this book just today and I have to say It is true there are obviously Christians out there that don't believe in demons or Satan.Hello people they are real and they are here. And alot of the doorways she spoke of I know for a fact are real doorways,I was deep into the occult most of my life so I know from experience that most of what she says is true. You might not believe It but of course, most people nowadays don't believe anything unless they can see It right in front of their face. And certainly If you complainers haven't been through such things how would you know about It?If you are into all the worldly things that most people are and you are really under Satan do you think he's going to want you to believe this? No.He has you all decieved. He is the great deciever, remember? The Christian life is not all pretty flowers and easy living.Read the newspaper one day and see what has been going on everyday in every town in America and you will open your eyes. There is a story out just recently about a satanic church that was molesting animals and children. These people confessed to doing it.I am telling you,but from all I've seen and learned in this world, there are demons they are real and everyone needs to wake up and get clean! If there is only God and Satan, and the spiritual things in your life are not of God,then whom are they from? And why would Christians be using things from other religions and false gods anyways, isnt that blasphemous? You don't need THAT crap. | | | Write your own review about Becoming A Vessel Of Honor
