| Another book-#2- brings us another award winning story of Annie Zook and the people in her life from Beverly Lewis. Beverly Lewis did an excellent job with developing her characters and how all her subplots met the main one. Annie Zook has promised her father she shall put her art away, and concentrate on settling down and study to join church. She can try to slowly suck the life from her passion by joining in on Amish get-togethers, and attending kitchen showers for upcoming brides.But Ben Martin? Can she stop thinking of him and the sweet, loving personality she has grown to love? Not to mention just Ben. She has been secretly going out at night with him, but can she know for sure she can keep this hid from her father-the preacher. It would be a shameful disgrace if he did find out. The own preacher's daughter! Meanwhile Louisa has still been going out with the cool Amish guy- Sam Glick. But Louisa has her own secret. Ever since her friend Courtney left on mission to try to persuade Louisa to come home back to Michael, Louisa has been half yearning to get back to her world-back home- Colorado. But Sam... and Louisa-:! Can she leave Paradise? This book is a real page turner! There is also some more secrets revealed about Zeke and his brother's kidnapping, and dear Esther related to her new found faith. | This series is wonderful. The one recommendation I make is to get the whole series, because you must start the next book as soon as you finish the last. I listen to the CD's, because I commute an hour to work, and when I had to wait 2 days for the next CD, (only the first time, I learned) I though I would burst. These would make an excellent buy for a high school girl or a college age young woman, teaching lessons on waiting for love and God's will in your life. I am 38, and my children are 7 & 8, and we all liked them too. My husband even sat in a few sessions, and liked to listen, so these are a great investment for anyone who likes a bit of humor, a few tears and a good story of following God's will, even against our own. | I love Bev. Lewis' books. This one was a let down for sure. I don't know if it is a new style of writing or just a turn of bad taste for the publisher pushing for a book. Every book you read has a beginning building on a plot, which was the first book. It is wholly exceptable to have the first book in a series not come to some conclusion. But to have an entire second book, over 300 pages, drone on and on, add new conflicts but bring no end to even one single plot, twist, conflict, snippit of information, is not in good writing taste. This book reads like a soap, ever thinkening, but never ending. It was seriously a waste of 4 hours to read.
