| Catchy marketing title aside, this book has a depth that stirs something deep within. Bell speaks often of the connection that we are constantly seeking from the moment we are separated from our mother at birth. The book also talks of God's longing to be connected with us and the marriage covenant that He has with us. It's just a good book. | | | | wow. Mar 30, 2007 |
| The style of this book picks you up and takes you from story to story with a great message behind each one. I go to an old school fundie University and alot of people have question me be reading this book. I'm glad that I have finished it and looking back it has changed some misconceptions that I have lived my life by. For anyone who make not like everything Rob Bell has to say I am sure that there are many people in your life to whom you would attach this idea to, but hopefully in some way they have left you changed. Thanks Mr. Bell. | | | | Dosen't live up to the title... Mar 28, 2007 |
| Not as good as Velvet Elvis by far, but an ok read in Rob Bell's Style. The book focues mainly on relationships touching somewhat on sex and Bell's thoughts on the subject but I found very little exploration into connections between sexuality and spirituality. Highly disapointed. | | | | An Emerging Author Writes About Relationships Mar 27, 2007 |
| As a divorce care counselor, my professional life deals with relationships. As a divorced single mother, my personal life mirrors the same dilemmas. I found a lot to like about this book, written by a fine new author. I was often reminded of the grace-filled chapters of Happily Remarried: *Making Decisions Together *Blending Families Successfully* Building a Love That Will Last in which the authors explore brokenness and the impact of God's grace on our relationships. Both books speak with a voice that brings clarity and hope amid honest questions. | | | | Rob Bell's new book is amazing Mar 25, 2007 |
| Like its predecessor, Velvet Elvis, this second book by Rob Bell is well written and thought-provoking. Rob has a way of relaying information that causes the reader to really think about and apply the material in a practical manner. Sex God explores the relationships between human beings and how those relationships can point us to God. I highly recommend this book for high school and college students and adults of all ages! | | | Write your own review about Sex God
