 | Confused Feb 13, 2007 |
| I read this book after reading her book about Hell. The hell book was a bit unsettling. She describes and calls one area of hell"the fun center". HUH, also she states that the devil and the demons torment souls in hell.According to Pastor and author Erwin W. Lutzer a quote from his book "One Minute After You Die""Be assured of this:Neither the devil or his angels will torment people in hell.Satan and his demons will be among the tormented, they will not be the tormentors".(Revelation20:10)This is a direct opposition to the word of God...So her revelations are maybe not that divinely inspired. The book is nice and is comforting in some area's, but if she is off scripture I don't know what to really believe.I have all the books and am reading The Spirit Realm one. I guess we all should trust our own relationship with Christ. | | | | The "Book of Joel" Visions and dreams Apr 9, 2006 |
| I want to answer the reviewer: "xmaggie mayx". First of all you are mistaken in scriptures that you say that all revelations of God ended with the "Book of Revelation". You are mistaken. Read the book of "Joel" in the Old Testament. The books talks about how God in the last days will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh. How the young will see visions and your old men dream dreams. He said that this will happen on both young and old. As you know we are living in the last days. Remember what the Lord said: who ever is not with me is against me. I think you are judging Mary K. Baxter out of your own opinion not with something that you can back up. Read the book of Joel and if you still disagree then you are not reading the same book I read or you are denying what the Holy Scriptures are saying. The Bible says also that in the last days there will be scoffers having a Religion but denying the power there off. I have read some of her books and the Holy Spirit bears witness with my spirit that what she has written is totally of God. You are entitle to your own opinion, but that doesn't make it the truth. You don't have to read and believe what she has written. Let other find for themselves their own opinions and come to their own conclusions and if they have the Holy Spirit inside of them, then the Holy Spirit will reveal to them weather is true or not. | | | | WOW! Mar 19, 2006 |
| I've read every single christian book by Mary K. Baxter. She is by far the most captivating person ever. This book contains everything you wanted to know about angels from a Christ centered perspective. Everything she writes about she backs up with the scriptures. She is truly a woman of God. Her experiences are unbelievable, but true! If you buy any books this year, buy all of hers! I have purchased many of her books to hand out as gifts, and I've yet to receive a bad review. A Divine Revelation of Hell, A Divine Revelation of Heaven, A Divine Revelation of the Spiritual Realm, The Power of the Blood....they are all awesome! | | | | Insightful Jan 12, 2005 |
Experience must be backed up by the Bible to be valid when it comes to spiritual matters. Mary K. Baxter spends the first three quarters of this book talking about angels from the perspective of the Bible. She emphasizes that angels are only to point you to God. They are not to be the focal point. They are messengers and agents of God. Furthermore, before accepting her experiences as valid, I looked at the endorsements from the people in the cover of the book. They are all credible people.
Having established that criteria as a foundation, I accepted what she presents as her experiences as valid. I could not find anything that goes against the Scripture in what she says she saw. These revelations encourage you to know that the spirit realm is alive, active, and directly influences the material world. That truth itself is scriptural. This book does not call attention to the author or angels per se. It focuses on God. | | | | A different view May 30, 2004 |
| In response to xmaggie mayx, Mary Baxter was allowed to view have and write the accounts that see saw. She's not the only one who has written accounts of heaven. Jesse Duplantis has and excellent book about heaven. His views are similar to Mary's but he gives additional differents views of heaven. I love both accounts and they both say that there are sections of heaven they were not allowed to write about. If you feel that Mary Baxter and other are false prohpets then pray for them. You can't knock someone who's helping to get people saved. | | | Write your own review about Divine Revelation Of Angels
