I found this book to be a practical tool to carry forth the command to examine myself. Self-deception is an easy thing; we justify and excuse our behavior because we haven't taken the time to really evaluate our thoughts. ALL people have emotions, Christians included, and many Christians struggle with guilt and shame over unchristlike feelings. But God has given us the tools to "come let us reason together" and that is what this book teaches. Christians do not have a magic wand swept over them, they are just humble students willing to take God's lead, willing to "die daily" to self. If you don't know the real you, that you are a sinner, you will not recognize the enemy and will be defeated time and time again. This book helps you to take your thoughts and feelings and reason them out through the eyes of the Lord. It is a step by step tool to victory. Not only have I learned how to "put on Christ" in a very practical way, but I have been able to help others, with these tools, to abide in Christ and have victory rather than guilt and shame.

| Wow! I am blown away by this book. I received this book as a gift and had never heard of either author before. I could identify with so much of what the author's shared and was able for the first time, to recognize a lot of misbeliefs in my life. Some of them I knew about, but a lot of them, I didn't. This book is biblically based and Christ centered. It doesn't promise easy answers or a quick fix. The suggestions made by the authors to overcome misbeliefs are helpful, practical and easy to apply.
